Greater Los Angeles
Both stages sit inside the studio zone, so most of the basin is a short drive. We shoot regularly across the Valley, the Westside and downtown, and a standard day rate applies anywhere in greater Los Angeles.
The rest of California
The full rig fits in cases and travels constantly. Beyond about thirty miles we add travel; San Diego, Santa Barbara, the Central Valley and the Bay Area are quoted with a travel day either side. Travel, transport and per diem are billed separately and itemised on your quote before you book — never after the shoot.

Two things make a shoot day run clean: we get your assets ahead of time, and your insurance is in hand before load-in. Both take about ten minutes.

Both partner stages require proof of general liability insurance before load-in. If you already carry production insurance, send the certificate. If you do not, a single-shoot policy takes a few minutes online.

Stage A is the LED volume; Stage B is the green screen cyc with live chroma key. We also shoot at a partner stage in North Hollywood with Arrow Studio Rentals, for shows in the Valley. Anywhere else in California, the mobile rig comes to you.
How much does it cost to rent a podcast studio in Los Angeles?
Our rates are hourly and depend on camera count and which stage you book, with a five-hour half-day minimum. On location across California is $300/hr for two cameras, $350/hr for three and $400/hr for four, plus travel. Stage B, the Hollywood green screen cyc, is $250 / $350 / $450 per hour. Stage A, the Hollywood LED volume, is $350 / $425 / $500 per hour. Every rate includes the room, the gear, an operating crew, set-up and strike, and same-day media handoff.
Do you cover Burbank, Studio City and the San Fernando Valley?
Yes. Both stages sit on Vine St in Hollywood, a short hop over the hill from Burbank, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Toluca Lake and Valley Village. If you would rather not travel — or you are further out in Woodland Hills, Northridge or Chatsworth — the mobile rig comes to your office or location at the on-location rate instead.
Can you come to my office in LA and record the podcast there?
Yes — on-location is a core service, not an add-on. The whole control room travels in cases: four 4K cameras, the ATEM switcher, HyperDeck recorders, the Rodecaster Pro, lighting and grip. We drive, so nothing is freighted. Anywhere in greater Los Angeles is a standard day rate; the rest of California is quoted with a travel day either side. Travel, transport and per diem are itemised before you book.
How many people can sit at the desk?
Four comfortably, with a dedicated microphone and camera angle each. Five or more is possible — we reconfigure the set and bring in the 6K Pocket as a roaming angle, so tell us the headcount when you book.
What do I actually walk away with?
A live-switched program master, every camera's isolated 4K file, an isolated WAV for each microphone and a room-tone track from the shotgun mic. Your editor is never trapped inside the live cut — they can rebuild any moment from the ISOs.
Do you edit, or just shoot?
Both. Plenty of clients take the raw switched master and cut it in-house. If you would rather hand it off, we do full episode edits, captions, chapter markers, thumbnails and a vertical clip package on a weekly cadence.
How far will you travel for on-location work?
Anywhere in California — we drive, so there is no freight and nothing gets shipped. Greater Los Angeles is a standard day rate; San Diego, Santa Barbara, the Central Valley and the Bay Area are quoted with a travel day either side. Travel, transport and per diem are billed separately and itemised on your quote before you book.
What is the difference between the LED wall and the green screen?
The LED wall puts a real image behind you that your set lighting interacts with — nothing to key, no green spill, and the talent can see it. The green screen with live key is more flexible for wild environments and full-screen graphics, and it is also cut live so you approve the final look on the day.
Can you record a whole season in one day?
Yes, and it is usually the cheapest way to make a show. A full ten-hour day can comfortably bank four to six episodes with wardrobe changes between blocks. Ask about the 20% multi-day discount if you are shooting across several days.
Can you build a podcast studio in our office?
Yes — it is a growing part of what we do. We survey the room, plan acoustics and power, spec the camera, lighting, audio and switching package, handle the install and commissioning, then train your team to run it. Budgets vary with room size and whether you want an LED wall, so it starts with a site visit.
Will you train our team instead of crewing it ourselves?
We do both. Plenty of clients book us to operate; plenty want their own people running the room by episode five. Training is hands-on, on your own kit, and we leave a written runbook so a new hire can pick it up without calling us.
Can you shoot photos as well as video?
Yes. We bring in an on-set photographer with a full studio strobe and modifier package for digital stills — promo portraits, key art, behind-the-scenes and press images — on either Hollywood stage or on location. It runs alongside the video shoot so you leave with both in one day. Quoted on request.
Can I add more lighting and grip than the standard package?
Yes. The house kit covers most shows, but we carry and source additional fixtures, flags, floppies, diffusion, negative fill, extra stands, C-stands and rigging hardware whenever a look calls for it. Tell us what you are going for — or send a reference — and we will spec the package and quote it before the shoot.
What is the minimum booking?
A half day — five hours — at any camera count and on any stage. That covers set-up, the shoot and strike; we never bill set-up as shoot hours.
